The Fabric of Democracy 

Presenter:  Dr. Kevin O’Leary

Dr. O’Leary teaches American politics, political theory and the history of ideas and has been a research fellow at the Center of the Study of Democracy at UC Irvine since 2002, as well as a lecturer at Chapman University.  He was lead West Coast reporter for Time Magazine, reporter for the Los Angeles Times, editorial page editor of the Pasadena Star-News, and editor of OC Metro magazine.  Kevin will talk about the values we share (honesty, decency, neighborliness, hard work, assisting those in need) and how these values are part of the fabric that makes us a democracy.
