2019-2020 District Governor Marc Aarons started his Rotary career in Rotary Club of Fullerton in 1997 and then moved down to Southern Orange County and joined Rotary Club of Laguna Niguel. He is currently a member and past President of the Rotary Club of Newport Balboa and has served on multiple board positions. Marc has been extremely involved on the Rotary District 5320 as an assistant District Governor, Foundation Committee, Training committee, membership committee, Advisory board. Also, he will be the District Governor for Rotary District 5320 for the 2019-2020 Year. He has received several awards including the Cliff Docterman Award. He has been recognized by the Orange County Daily Pilot Community Service Award in the city of Newport Beach, CA.

Marc’s character has been heavily influenced by his lifelong involvement with the Boy Scouts of America. Marc has been awarded many of Scouting’s highest honors. He is an Eagle Scout with three Silver Palms and a recipient of the Silver Beaver. He received the Baden-Powell World Fellowship Award King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden. He traveled to South Africa to advise on scouting projects and to Germany to receive the International Scouter’s Award.

Marc served on the National Committee for Boy Scouts of America and was the Vice Chairman for Awards and Recognition for the Relationship Committee for Jewish Scouting. He also served as the Boy Scouts’ International Committee Chairman for Orange County, CA. Marc serves on several boards and committees in the local community. Examples; he serves on the Advisory Board of California State Long Beach University- College of Business & Administration, Aids Service Foundation of Orange County. Marc is involved in younger community at Century High School teaching business ethics, personal banking, and finance to sophomores, juniors, and seniors. In addition, he is a board member of the Advisory Board for Century High School E-Academy. Marc is a Financial Advisor with Money Managers Inc. who has extensively studied the financial, physical,emotional and personal issues affecting today’s business owners, executives, and seniors (including the financial demands linked to increased longevity). He founded Money Managers Inc a Registered Investment Advisor Firm in 2009. In addition, he has been working in finance since 2001. Money Managers Inc. has been expanding for the past few years and has a new office in Atascadero with financial advisors servicing clients in Northern California. Marc speaks fluent Japanese. He graduated from Oklahoma State University in International Economic Relations with a Bachelor’s Degree and a minor in Japanese with an Asian Study certificate from Kyoto University. While living in Japan, he earned a black belt in Judo, and studied Japanese language, culture, government, history, literature, and Japanese business culture. His knowledge of world markets is especially important in today’s volatile global economy.

Marc is married to Xiaowen (Sam). They enjoy providing service to their community and the world. Besides service, they enjoy trying new restaurants and different culinary treats from around the world. Marc is an avid amateur BBQ’er. Marc and Sam enjoy family time with their parents, Vilma and Julius Aarons and their two German Shepherds, Lexi and Diego.
