Water Safety with Johnny Johnson

Johnny Johnson –  Rotarian and Owner of Blue Buoy Swim School in Tustin

Aquatics International says Johnny Johnson is one of Aquatics’ most influential people of the past 25 years.

Blue Buoy is one of the country’s oldest swim schools and doesn’t just cater to elite swimmers: Blue Buoy Swim School offers lessons for infants through adults including those with special needs, Down syndrome, autism or other issues.

Water safety is so important to Johnson that he and his wife Cindy founded Safety Water Safety Foundation, which promotes anti-drowning programs and practices.

In 2010 Johnny and Cindy were presented with the USSSA Humanitarian Award for their efforts in drowning prevention. Johnny was awarded the Association’s Guiding Light Award in 1996 and honored with induction the Hall of Fame in 2004.   Johnny has lead the Stop Drowning Now team from the very beginning and he served as Chairman of the Board from 2004-2019.

Johnny and Julie Lopiccolo will be leading this meeting along with demonstrations on water safety.
