Community Engagement Director, Arthritis Foundation
Isela Monterrosas is an experienced nonprofit health professional specializing in community engagement. She began her career with the VNA Foundation working in the hospice research project, and later worked for the March of Dimes leading the implementation of their school–based program in Orange County. She transition to work for their Southern California Chapter office based in Los Angeles, where she led the Latino Advisory and African American Advisory committees, as well as served as staff expert on Comenzando-Bien curriculum dissemination and implementation throughout the state of California. In 2007, Isela Monterrosas joined the Arthritis Foundation Pacific Southwest Region and currently serves as Director of Community Engagement; where she oversees strategic health care provider relationships, volunteer engagement processes and consumer response strategy for field services in Orange County, Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego County. She is a graduate of Cal State Long Beach with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences; Community Health Education.
